Billy Mitchell is one of the darkest thingus villains. An accomplished Donkey Kong player, he was known for being the best at the game. For many years, Mitchell claimed world record high scores for the game, but was very shady about the verification of his runs. He would never play in person, and would only submit VHS tapes for verification with terrible quality. Some time later his tapes were disqualified, because it was easily determined that he was running the game on an emulator and not a real arcade, and that certain parts of the video were spliced. The reason Mitchell was able to get away with cheating is because he was financially supporting the company that was keeping these scores.

A 2007 documentary called King of Kong shows Billy's villainy in realtime. He would not be caught for cheating until years after the film was made.
